Jorge de Jesús Gleason was born in Saltillo Coahuila, in October 27, 1960. Before becoming a bullfighter he was a salesman, cowboy, sharks and whales fisher and football player. Like a man with a great personality, he traveled around the world before getting his Engineer degree. He decided to become a bullfighter after marry the beautifull Miss Coahuila 1983.
His debut in the mexican bullfight's context, in the middle of the 80's, brought a new kind of bullfighting. A bullfighting full of an antique flavor.
He made his debut like a novillero in Saltillo in October 13, 1985, and he received the alternativa in 1990 after two years like a novillero and one year lost because a injury in the right leg. Then, he received it in Monterrey in September 2, 1990. The godfather was Mariano Ramos and Alejandro Silveti was the witness. Bulls were from Manuel Macias's ranch. He confirmed the alternativa at Plaza Mexico in January 13, 1991.
At the day, he has fought more than 230 times and he was awarded more than 330 ears, 110 per year, more than everybody. He's been seriously gored 29 times, and he has had twelve break bones. That is why he wears four orthopedic systems. He is the most controvertible bullfighter in the latest years.
Furthermore, he isn't only a bullfighter. He's a poet too. He has more than 120 poems and a book that talks about women, bulls and life. Now, he is in his retirement campaign.
